There are a few versions, since there are a lot of brakes out there.
- Most models (except insert-type) include steel backbone for added rigidity
- Thinline has less rubber but fits in borderline-clearance situations and facilitates wheel removal
- Supra has loads of rubber for longer replacement intervals.
- Inserts fit either Shimano-style (also Tektro and Jagwire) road-brake holders, or Shimano-style V-brake holders.
