Kool-Stop Wet-weather Rim Brake Pads

If you know the Kool-Stop Salmon compound, you already love it. If not, these brake pads are the best-performing available for wet weather, including wet city roads, touring during rainy seasons, and icy and slushy conditions. They also stop very well when it's dry!

There are a few versions, since there are a lot of brakes out there.

• "Continental" style is for steel rims. Frankly, these pads are the only way to make steel rims brake at all well in the rain!
• Thinline has less rubber but fits in borderline-clearance situations and facilitates wheel removal
• Supra has loads of rubber for longer replacement intervals.
• Inserts fit either Shimano-style (also Tektro and Jagwire) road-brake holders, or Shimano-style V-brake holders.
