Extra-Long Tandem Cables, Shimano

Stainless steel cables but super-long. The bicycles that need this are usually tandem bikes, where the pilot's controls need to reach the rear of the bike, and certain sizes of Rivendell bikes in certain kinds of setups (they're long frames folks).

Shift cables are pretty universal, but sometimes the head on these is a bit too large for some models of shifter. The solution is to spend two minutes with a file, it doesn't take much for it to slide in nicely.

Brake cables are available in road ("mushroom-shaped" head) or MTB (hockey puck shaped head).

Sold as a single cable, without housing.
